Pledge text : For the years 2012-2015, (the Government and) the National Society of Armenia hereby pledge:
Reduce the risks of local communities against disasters and increase their protection on disasters, promoting improvement of DRR legislation and integration of DRR issues in existing strategies and plans, as well as advocating for DRR issues at local level through:
- cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Armenia, particularly with its Emergency Situations Ministry, National Disaster Risk Reduction Platform and legislative system
- implementation of DRR projects with focus on communities to raise the awareness and capacities of local authorities and public on DRR
- involvement of civil organizations and society in decision making regarding DRR issues on community level.
